Trainspotting in Quebec

Wandering further afield, I went trainspotting with youngest son on October 12. This time, we went to Coteau, Quebec, and De Beaujeu, Quebec to do some trainspotting. If you wonder why I use the British term of “Trainspotting” rather than the North American term “Railfanning” – It’s just a personal preference.

CN 3249 moves east with a cut of cars. It was setting out something at the Coteau yard.

This local reversed on wye at Coteau and now is heading west.

CN #3249 passes again, this time leaving the yard en route to Montréal.
A rare Illinois Central GP38-2 heads up this local returning from south of Coteau to the yard.
Second engine on the local is this GTW GP38-2. Clean locomotives don’t work any better than dirtier ones I guess.
VIA Train 67 from Montréal speeds by.
VIA Train #637 hammers the diamond crossing between the CP Winchester Sub and the VIA Rail Alexandria Sub at De Beaujeu, QC.
