New CEO for St. Lawrence Parks Commission

nnMORRISBURG – The St. Lawrence Parks Commission has a new general manager and chief executive officer with Kingston resident, Hollee Kew, being appointed to the dual-role by the commission.nn“Hollee brings an impressive range of executive leadership experience to her new role at the SLPC,” said Linda Ann Daly, acting chair of the SLPC in a release. “The board and staff of the SLPC look forward to working with Hollee in advancing the SLPC’s impact as a key catalyst for tourism growth and economic development in Eastern Ontario.”nnKew moves to the SLPC after having served in several different positions in the Ontario Public Service, most recently as eastern region director for drinking water and environmental compliance with the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks. She was responsible for the ministry’s clean-up and remediation of the former Deloro Mine Site in Marmora. Kew also oversaw delivery of the Canada-Ontario Agreement for Great Lakes. That agreement works on improving drinking water quality on the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River.nnShe has also worked in the investigation and enforcement branch of the MECP, and previously worked for the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. Prior to working in the public service, she was economic development officer for Lennox and Addington County. Kew also served in the Canadian Armed Forces as a Captain Logistics Officer.nnKew holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of New Brunswick and a Masters of Business Administration from Queen’s University. In addition she is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant.nnShe replaces Ronald Holgerson, who has been interim general manager and CEO since February 2017 after the departure of Darren Dalgleish.nnKew begins her new position September 17th.nnSLPC is an agency of the province, and operates Upper Canada Village, Crysler Park Marina, Upper Canada Golf Course, The Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary, and several campgrounds and attractions from Lancaster to Kingston. The agency has significant land holdings in South Dundas and South Stormont.
