nnMORRISBURG – Seaway Spartans’ athlete Owen Fetterly will represent the school at the upcoming EOSSAA golf championships in Perth next week. Fetterly, a Grade 11 athlete at Seaway District High School, had the third lowest score at the SDG golf tournament held at Upper Canada Golf Club September 17th.nnWhile Fetterly had the third lowest score with an 89, he was first overall in singles competition. CCVS’ Devyn Bramwell was second overall in singles.nn“I didn’t think I was going to get in to EOSSAA,” Fetterly said after the tournament adding that he planned on going to the course ahead of the September 26th tournament to practice.n“I’m really excited about going to Perth.”nnIn team competition, La Citadelle took first place with a 281, while St. Joe’s finished in second place with a 297. Team scores were based on the best four scores from the golfers on each team.nnSeaway’s team finished fourth overall with a score of 304. In addition to Fetterly’s 89, Curran Gilmour shot a 102, Josh Broad 113, and Alec Laroque 124.nnOnly two schools entered players in girls competition. North Dundas District High School’s Allison Roach took first place, while La Citadelle’s Emilie Groulx and Danica Seguin tied for second place.nnThe EOSSAA golf championship will be held September 26 at the Perth Golf Course in Perth.
