Seaway Int. dominates cross-country qualifier

The Seaway District Intermediate School cross-country team competed in the Upper Canada Cup regional qualifier at Grey’s Creek in Cornwall on September 27th.

n The Grade 7 girls team finished first overall in the event, with Olivia Mudde, Maeryn Gilmour and Mackenzie Dumoulin finishing 1-2-3 individually. Eight girls from the team have qualified for the UC Cup championship.

n The Grade 7 boys team finished first overall with six runners qualifying for the UC Cup championship. Colin Verbruggen placed first for the event with Bronson Richmire placing third.

n Brooke Amlin placed first in the Grade 8 girls division, with Lily Lewis placing second and Megan Tibben third. The Grade 8 girls team won first overall at the qualifier and send eight runners on to the UC Cup.

n The Grade 8 boys team finished first overall at the qualifier sending eight to the UC Cup. Finishing second in the race was Sam Henderson, with Kayne McCadden finishing third overall.

n The Upper Canada Cup (UCDSB) championship is October 25th at Memorial Park in Brockville.
